USE IT OR LOSE IT!
Why does School Angel remove schools from the charity?
Unfortunately we find that quite a few schools join the charity and then either fail to ever use their fundraising page or simply stop using their page for over three months (this means not a single transaction has taken place for three consecutive months).
We do not like to remove any school from the charity but if they stop using it then we have no option because they drain the charities most precious resource - our volunteers time.
If your school stops using it's page for three months or more we will remove it. We always notify the school and offer them the chance to claim any unused funds. If we get no response then we allocate any monies left on the page 100% to the charities' running-costs fund in line with our terms and conditions. Your school agreed to these terms when they joined School Angel.
Your unused page gets re-cycled and given to a new school wishing to join and become an active member of our fundraising community.
Currently we do not allow de-registered schools to rejoin the charity due to the high demand from new schools keen to join.
